Hi MintyFreshh,
I'm afraid you won't find many on this board who believe in Sandra's philosophy of using store-bought ingredients as the major basis of a dish. Most people here are of the make-it-from-scratch school. That's kind of what defines a "cookaholic," at least on this board.

I think its a bit of Puff piece. I know Sandra Lee has many fans, but not many of them reside here. I suspect that she will be marinated, skewered, and grilled before the sun go down, and I can almost guarantee at least one lurid comment about her pears.

Quote: Sometimes my inspirations come from a beautiful cocktail when I’m traveling. Sometimes they come from an outfit. I’ll match an outfit to a window treatment and I’ll look at the color theme and if it’s green, it’ll maybe be a margarita with limeade in it. If it’s yellow, maybe it’s a margarita that has lemonade in it. So I just kind of change it up for what my theme is and everyone seems to like it, and it works for them…works for me. It’s delicious and it’s beautiful.
I have no words. Oddly enough though, the 2 recipes she has on the link are not typical of what I think about when I think Sandra. They are relatively all from scratch, save the puff pastry and the jarred roasted red peppers and they sound fairly edible. Weird.

Jim, it wasn't till the second pass that I'd realized what you'd done here. Well done.

I'm guessing that Mintyfreshh is either paid by the celebrity cafe blog or by Sandra Lee to post links and get hits. I doubt s/he'll be back. We're responding to a ghost.
But it does give us all an excuse to take jabs at SL! We really haven't had anything to be snarky about lately.

I checked against StopForumSpam on everything (user name, email and IP address), and no hits. Yes, it could be a spammer, but there is nothing to support they are spamming (other than an interest in Sandra Lee )...at least not right now. Amy

I had that pear thing at a snazzy dinner a while back. It was made with Boursin cheese and was delicious. Nice break for those of us who don't care much for chocolate. fitzie
