I've been wanting to see this since it came out, and I noticed yesterday it's available on Netflix instant. A foodie must see. Wonderful story...

My wife refused to see it while pregnant (she likes sushi a lot, and was off of it, and figured it would just be torture). Now that that situation is resolved, we'll have to see it!

Second on the congrats. Keeping things under your hat. You haven't even asked for baby food recipes.

Thanks! Sabrina Kierstead, all 8 lbs 4 oz (3.7 kg for those with sensible measurement systems) was born 7 Nov., healthy and fine. She peed on the doctor, cried at the top of her lungs and started kicking and fighting, so she is off to a fine start! The current plan (plans, lol) is to angle more towards the Japanese method, and introduce very well cooked fish and veg directly at 6 months or so, instead of trying to introduce some kind of mixture. Of course, she may well decide that no way in hell is she going for that, but we have hope that we can bring her up on a healthy diet right from the outset. Well we'll also mix a bit of french in there and start on the cheese early....

Beautiful name. I am sure she will be rolling her own sushi before she walks.
Enjoy her!

Most women have trouble with fish when they are pregnant. It's good for the tummy leech, though, so I powered through, but it had to be battered or breaded and come with ketchup. I sure was happy when my appetite went back to normal.

Having your own convenience foods prepped helps to keep them off the KD and mcnuggets. Having said that, I didn't really start to cook the way I do now until they were 3 and 4 or so, so there's hope even if you catch them a bit later.
