- Used a fancy smanchy bacon, cut into lardons. It was too strong (even though I used less). If you use bacon, use something boring.
- I found it a little spicy; not like, too spicy to eat, but inappropriate to the flavour. I'll cut back on the pepper flakes next time.
- It fits into a 3-qt sauce pan. Exactly. You might want to use a bigger one

- I used homemade broth, which probably helped the flavour.
