I live in the south bay and love to go to the Ferry Building for leaf lard, etc. DH got imperial rolls at slanted door. It is expensive there, but such good food options/supplies. Nancy
Shaker lemon pies are good with meyer lemons-you slice the lemons with the peels on, then bake them in a custard. CI may even have worked up a version of these.

shaker lemon pie...ooh yum! Just made some candied lemon peel. A bit of a p i t a with the boiling three times and simmering in syrup after scraping the softened pith off (no I'm not lisping . Tastes really good though. Nancy
