Cleaning out the cabinets I found bottle of very nice olive oil I'd forgotten. It's about half used. Best used by October 2011. Is it still any good? Smells OK.

If it smells okay, it probably is. Give it a taste, and if it doesn't taste like it's going rancid, you're good to go.
