What ideas can you give me for what to do with triple cream cheese? Is this something that you just use like spreadable gold on a baguette or cracker? I've never actually purcahsed it before.

Costco had big hunks of it for 9.99 that were excellent, they were sampling it. I need to find a friend to share it with, as I'm sure the fat calories are immense - surely I need to get it before I start the diet software project!!!!! :? .

(Amy, I remember you talking about it on the CI board a long time ago but the details won't come to me)

marscapone (sp??) is a triple cream. I use it in mashed taters occasionally. It is good, very rich. Personally, I would not want it on bread. San Marcelin is also a triple cream (I think). It is excellent. I love it on thin slices of sour dough (or my fingers). The older it gets, the stinkier (yummier) it gets. From this, I would guess brie is also triple cream. I think it would be good an anything.
I visited a french friend a few years ago and came home with a whole new perspective of cheese. I don't think I ever ate as good.

I love triple cremes....one of my very favorite ways to serve is on a wheat meal cracker made by Carrs (its the one in the red box), It is also great served with pears instead of a cracker. I sometimes pour a red or green peper jelly on it and serve with a plain water cracker. Anyway you use it, it is yummy

I did not know that brie was a triple cream cheese. So I probably have had it before.

The sample from Costco was very buttery and mushroomy at the same time.

EB, Not all brie is triple cream. It has to do with the fat content.
