We're in the middle of a heat wave here, 104° yesterday and continued hot for the foreseeable future. Ugh! Iced tea helps. I make it in many forms. Yesterday it was 48 oz. water in a glass pitcher in the fridge with 6 tea bags (plan old Lipton - the Earl Gray I tried first was just too flowery), for about five hours. Add a little fresh lemon juice and a tiny bit of sugar and it's a great refresher. How do you like your Iced Tea?
I've also found the Lipton or Celestial Seasons unsweetened K-cups are very good for when you want just one glass.

I make a quart of tea with 2 green tea bags and 2 "zinger" tea bags, then mix it with a quart of white cranberry/apple juice. Or I make a couple cups of chai, chill them overnight and mix them with vanilla coconut milk beverage for iced chai.

I make a lot of Thai iced tea, but not with the condensed milk, so not nearly as sweet. One brand I like best, though I can't remember the name! LOL I just remember where I get it, and stock up on it, and I use it about half and half with regular tea bags. Straining it, of course.

I like plain old Lipton, bulk tea not bags, very very strong and lots of ice. Nothing fancy. No sweetener.

Oh dear...the few times that I do have it, I make it from powdered. Really sweet with a ton of lemon. Otherwise it's just a glass of cold tea.

I'll make a very strong black tea, sometimes with some mint, then make a simple syrup to sweeten it to taste. Often I add orange peel to the syrup. I like cold chai too.

Becky, I love your idea of the flavored simple syrup, I'm definitely going to try it!

We put simple syrup out on the tea/coffee station at work. Maybe I could start making flavored syrups when school starts up again.

I heat 4 c water in glass measuring cup with 3 Luzianne decaf family size tea bags for 5 min on high power & then let it steep 4-5 min. Pour tea in a 4 qt pitcher, add 2/3 c sugar & fill with water. Refrigerate. If I make it in the morning & refrigerate it it is sweeter in the evening after it has set. Why, I not not know.
