I do have all the ingredients to make Gluten-Free Sandwich Bread. It gets decent reviews & seems like a good place to start.

Jim
If I may ask, are you gluten intolerant or are you cooking for friends?

My GF bread was not easy to mistake for wheat bread. it has a texture that resembles quick bread with a dense crumb.

My top did not dome like the picture and like most bakers I am going to blame the recipe. KAF thinks that a cup of milk weights 227 grams when it actually weighs a bit over 240 grams. Even corrected, I think it may need a touch more liquid even though my three eggs were a bit overweight.

The flavor is not unpleasant, but it smells a bit eggy while it is toasting.

Next I think I will try gluten free pie crust and perhaps gluten free English Muffins.

While I do not need to eat gluten free, we may have Xmas dinner with someone who does. I would like to provide a GF pie and perhaps GF bread or rolls for the dinner.

Seems like a gluten-free pie would be easily accomplished by using gluten-free animal or graham (I know!) crackers to make a crumb crust.

Jim,

I'm going to try the GF brioche rolls from the Cup4Cup website. You may want to try it also.

Amy/Jim - I posted a link to another GF bread recipe from Canadian Livign on the other gluten free thread. Looked promising for a sandwich bread.
