Oh no, now there's yet another reason to go to costco (not that I need any).

Well, I made the Queso Fundido I mentioned earlier in this thread, and omg, was it good. Not a traditional version, but very flavorful. And the roasted poblano vinaigrette was a really nice touch.

Oh, and I made the Buffalo chicken meatballs. After Andy and I ate about half of them we both left the room for a few minutes. When we came back almost all the rest (probably about a dozen) were gone. We weren't sure which dog was responsible, but it became apparent when Duffy declined his dinner.

So Amy, I guess you didn't make the meatballs hot enough? Or have you fed Duffy enough hot foods that he'll eat anything?

You'd have to ask my Mom (albeit you'd have to direct that question to heaven now) about his tolerance for hot foods. We've only had Duffy since July when she got ill.

Duffy also declined breakfast, and he's sitting next to me now. His tummy is going gangbusters. I can't wait to see what awaits me when we go for a morning walk...

What kind of dog is Duffy? Do the 2 get along?

I made wings and natchos. The wings were simple, dredged in a mix of AP and brown rice flour seasoned with s&p and then fried, 1/2 tossed in Frank's Red Hot and butter and 1/2 in a mix of a smokey bbq and a sweet bbq sauce. My gang devoured them. I need to up the amount I cook, these teen/pre-teen boy appetites are huge!

Duffy is a West Highland Terrier. When we first brought him home Harry (our Goldendoodle) looked at us as if to say, "who the hell is this, and what is he doing in MY house." It's pretty funny to look at them together. Harry is black, about four feet tall and 70 lbs., whereas Duffy is white, about one foot tall and weighs 20 lbs.

Duffy was never well socialized with other dogs, and being a terrier is rather territorial. So, it took a while, but they've reached a peaceful coexistence. Andy puts them both on one long lead when he takes them for walks, so it's pretty comical to see Harry drag Duffy along.

You remember the McCartney/Wonder song "Ebony and Ivory?" Well, Andy has renamed them "Energy and Ornery," which pretty much describes them both to a tee.

Who's buffalo chicken meatball recipe did you use? Those sound intriguing, but the reviews on the Epicurious version were uneven.

Do a google search for Meatball Shop Buffallo Chicken Meatballs. Very tasty. Just don't use the one on Rachael Ray's website. It's incomplete. I believe the GMA site has the complete recipe.
