Anyone know a really good recipe which calls for a whole buncha quartered fresh artichoke hearts?

We stopped in Castroville on the way back from TY Day, and bought 12 artichokes for a dollar.

They braise up well in a bit of stock. Also, shaved on a mandolin and tossed with lemon juice they go well in salads.

Either stuff them or make artichoke fritters

Artichokes French.

Sometimes called Artichokes Francese, or Artichokes Francaise depending on ones language POV, they taste good.

There's a recipe in the latest Lucky Peach for Artichokes with Walnut-Fish Sauce Puree that calls for 8 to 12 artichokes. If you want it I'll PM it to you.

Marcella Hazan blanches them and then sautees in olive oil and garlic.
