Anyone know a really good recipe which calls for a whole buncha quartered fresh artichoke hearts? We stopped in Castroville on the way back from TY Day, and bought 12 artichokes for a dollar. |

They braise up well in a bit of stock. Also, shaved on a mandolin and tossed with lemon juice they go well in salads. |

Either stuff them or make artichoke fritters |

Artichokes French. Sometimes called Artichokes Francese, or Artichokes Francaise depending on ones language POV, they taste good. |

There's a recipe in the latest Lucky Peach for Artichokes with Walnut-Fish Sauce Puree that calls for 8 to 12 artichokes. If you want it I'll PM it to you. |
