Can anyone help? I was sure I recently saw a chicken kebab (or maybe chicken kebab marinade) recipe in what I thought was the most recent issue of CI (with lemon, olive oil, and fresh oregano). Of course, now that I'm looking for it, I can't find it. Does this ring a bell for anyone else?

Again from Food .com

However, it is not recent.

Thanks, I have made that one (and it's good, so it may end up being the one I make), but the one I was looking at didn't use yogurt, just olive oil, lemon juice and fresh oregano (which I have a giant patch of growing in my garden). Aarg, it's the hazard of reading too many new food magazines at once!!! I was on vacation so was catching up on my iPad subscriptions, plus come to think of it, I bought a new cookbook (The Ferry Building Farmer's Market cookbook). While I could have sworn it was CI, now I'm wondering if it was somewhere else....(like the cookbook since I have scoured all of my online editions for this recipe that may only exist in my mind).

Nope, not the cookbook. Maybe I imagined it.

Carey, Cuisine at Home has Tuscan Drumsticks, which have an olive oil marinade, no oregano, but maybe you thought of subbing, that and a pork kebab in the latest issue. CI does not have any.

Mystery solved. I am, in fact, losing my mind (perhaps the first sign of active middle age). The good news though is that the recipe does exist, only it's in Martha Stewart's Every Day Food magazine, which I somehow get for free as an iPad app.

Wino, we've had possibly the worst and longest winter/spring ever as well. I planted my oregano from a greenhouse plant at the end of May, and it has struggled along until this week, when we finally got 30 degree weather and sun, and it took off. My cilantro, basil, and globe basil OTOH have all bolted along with the cat's catnip. So I am left with oregano, mint, sage, and parsley as the apocalyptic survivors of global climate change.
