Hi Kathy, I do remember buying oysters after this and don't really remember any highlights of making fried oysters. We are in the season again though, so I may have to make a concerted effort to use the recipe again and report in!

Speaking of oysters, a friend of mine used to make a dish with soda crackers, melted butter and oysters. It was baked in a casserole. I don't remember anything else but it was very good. Anybody know how to make this? Fitzie
Kathy, the jarred oysters made it into my shopping cart, but I did not have the recipe on hand and could not remember the type of cornmeal product called for....so I delayed.
The oysters looked very nice today, I'll make these for sure some day this weekend.
