A friend of mine posted about making this on Facebook. She said she giving it "a freaking hearty thumbs up."

Anyone make anything like this before?

Amy

Well, I've never made stuck on rice (completely) on purpose, but when it happens, Geekboy and fight over who gets to eat it. This might be one to try. I also remember an episode of Iron Chef (the real one with Chairman Kaga) where one of the chefs served crunchy, browned rice from the bottom of the cooker. It seems like it was just that and some broth or tea. It's what gave me the idea to just eat the stuff in the first place.

Amy,

Kris gave me the cookbook Spices for Christmas, and the author also really likes the brown crispy rice at the bottom of the pot. She came up with a "rice cake" recipe designed to give each diner an individual serving of crispy burned rice.
