I like to use superfine sugar when I'm baking something low-moisture that relies on melting that sugar to provide a structural texture (brownies, for instance). The superfine sugar seems to more evenly distribute throughout the mixture, giving it a smoother texture.

I think we call it berry sugar here. It's just regular white sugar that has a finer grind.
