A few months ago I bought the Baked Cookbook because of their Brownie recipe. Last night I made their Sweet and Salty Cake. The first step is to bake the chocolate cake which from the crumbs that I tasted is very good. The second step is make the Salted Caramel that is drizzled on each layer. Step three is to make another caramel that you added to chocolate and then when it's cooled you beat with butter and that makes the Caramel and Chocolate Ganache frosting for the cake. You even sprinkle sea salt on the cake. I will let you know how it tastes. I am taking it with me to signing practice tonight.

This cake is by far the best Chocolate Cake I have ever baked. Everybody really liked it! Very moist and the salt enhanced the flavor of the Chocolate. I will type up the recipe soon and bring it to work.

Sounds lovely, yes, the recipe would be nice. This looks like it's one Trinket would like too. She introduced me to Salted Caramel Ice Cream last visit, it was incredibly good.

The salted caramel cake from Baked has been making the rounds on the blogs - maybe from Daring Bakers - can't remember! It sounds incredibly good. I have the Baked book in my shopping cart - maybe I'll treat myself today. Thanks for the review - did you take any pics????

I typed up this recipe last night. If anybody wants it, let me know and I will send it to you. I don't know if I should post it or not. What is the correct protocol for this?

Too funny! I just did a search for this recipe on line and it is available at like 10,000 different sites. I guess I didn't need to worry about posting it here. LOL
