I'm thinking about getting one of these again. I bought a Misto years ago but tossed it once it got terribly clogged, which happened after about 6 months of use. I just read thru several reviews of various misters on Amazon and they seem to still have the same cons - doesn't sound like they've improved that much. Some are rated fairly well but I'm somewhat gunshy about the actual truth associated with those stellar reviews.

Anyone have any personal recommendations for a Mister? I'll use it almost exclusively for Trader Joe's or Whole Foods Olive Oil (my everyday evoo). I do like the ability to spray oil and want to stop using aerosol sprays that contain things like "soy, lecithin and propellant".

TIA -

Nance

Mine's a Tupperware and has stood the test of time. It's a pump style but maybe they all are.

I use concentrated Simple Green followed by hot water rinses.

Nancy, I bought a two pack of the Misto brand from Costco in the spring. I really wanted to like them, I put canola in one and evoo in the other after cleaning them before use. Both, from the very beginning, misted back while in use, giving a fine mist to everywhere around where I was spraying instead of in a forward direction only. I took apart, cleaned again and tried again. Same deal. I wound up taking them back to Costco.
Just my experience. I wouldn't buy one of these again if I didn't know I could return them.
