I actually bought a pushpan but haven't used it yet. I like Amy's idea for the cake pan and freezing.

Like Amy and others, I just use a regular cake pan. I don't freeze, but do thoroughly chill the cheesecake. I put plastic wrap on a plastic cutting board and invert the cake pan onto that, put on whatever crust I've made, then flip back to a serving plate. I like making the crust separately so it never gets soggy.

I like the non soggy crust idea too. I'll have to try that.
