Folks,
So now that it's actually summer, I'm looking for an outdoor, propane-powered, wok ring and paella burner. Anyone got any recommendations?

I have a Big Kahuna Burner - a 65k/hr burner, on which my 24" or 20" wok cook like a dream. Seems this site is where I learned about it, back when I got it?
Never used this as a paella burner. Would that require a burner with a flame more spread out than for a wok?

From Eastman outdoors?
What do you think? Amazon reviews are mixed.

I have had no problems with it. It seems stable to me, and high enough for easy stir frying. The only drawback is the design of the valve, which, if I used it more often, I would make a way too adjust it quicker and easier.

You want a foot pedal like it appears some restaurants around here do, they seem to toggle the burner between mild and jet engine...

I have a feeling that a valve like that would cost considerably more than the burner!

Poking around looking at commercial units, it is probably knee controlled. I've not been able to see exactly what they do, but it is hands free. They have nice systems, the area around the wok is a water table, most seem to keep a little water running in it all the time, and they always have these great little oil containers safely at hand,
