Ah, the martini bar. My husband wanted to name it the beer bar but I said whoever cleaned it most got to name it.
It is a 2 tiered garbage pull out. The little drawer is just a half drawer and the green thing is for compost. There is also another space where I keep my DW tabs and some cleaning stuff and dog food goes underneath.
You may gladly come fondle my kitchen, but maybe I had better tidy up first (see food safety thread).

Mary, Who makes that stepstool? I keep telling my husband that the toe kick in cabinets is unused space that could house a pop-out step stool. I even started tinkering with designs, but no sense in reinventing the wheel.

We used to have an impressive alpine view out the back but sadly they built behind us and we have stereophonic views of the neighbors now. Although if you go in my daughter's room on a clear day and crick your neck waaay to the right you get a partial view of Mt. Rigi. I am sure this will be a great selling point some day.
I am not sure who makes the stool but it is a brilliant invention. Funny thing is tall people say "oh how nice" with absolutely no inflection while my vertically challenged soul mates go nuts over it.
