W-S has an "exclusive" Bamix immersion blender with attachments for $129. For those of you who have one, is this a deal? Regular price is set to be $179. There is also free shipping through March 2. Bamix blender |

Darcie, Apparently nobody knows if that's a real deal or not. |

It is cheaper than I bought mine for and they make them here. I LOVE my Bamix. I had a Braun (2 actually) and this thing is like a Braun on steroids. If you get one make sure it has the mini chopper. Mary |

I agree, it's a good deal on a VERY good stick blender; I've had mine for several years and love it. |

Darcie, That is the Mono model with a $6.99 beaker added to the normal attachment at no extra cost. $129 is the real suggested retail, while W-S claims $179. W-S also sells the Gastro 200 which is longer, therefore harder to store. This includes a $12.99 SuperChopper for a cost of $179. The suggested retail with the SuperChopper is $213 while W-S claims $249. Bargains. CC |

Yes, I have seen it with my own eyes. Every year they have a trade show here and Bamix always has a stand where they do all sorts of Bamix magic, including whipping skim milk. It also does egg whites. Mary |

Jaxallie wrote: whip skim milk It's an old parlor trick. The skim milk has to be very cold - almost frozen. As it warms up it goes back to liquid. I'm not sure it's really practical.

I am going to try this and will let you know. I make cappucino with skim milk and it foams very well (and keeps the foam). I will let you know how it goes. Mary |
