No, it doesn't have rabies. The video is mesmerizing, though.

Funky! I could really see a use for that.

Oh wow...I could totally see using that to plate at the restaurant. Way cool.

Amy

P.S. Nice first thread GB!

Somehow the video looks rigged, like the scene is reversed making it appear to pick up the stuff.

OK, after watching it a few times I figured out that it's not just a paddle that sticks out and retracts, but instead the paddle has a thin sheet over it that becomes a sort of conveyor to lift and deposit the material. That makes it less magical when the stuff seems to climb up the paddle.

It's still pretty good that it all comes up from the counter, but they're being very ginger in their handling of the material. Also we don't know what the counter surface is.

I can't think of a single practical use, but it was fun to watch...

Pete,

I'm thinking plating. You could make a fancy design with sauce and then transfer it to a plate.

Now, if it could get the hot sauce off my shirt just as easily, then you'd really have something.

I was thinking you could do a design with some kind of gel and transfer it to a cake. That way you could do the design until you get it juuust right then transfer it without worry about screwing up the cake.
