My everyday dinnerware is older than dirt. It's most definitely time to replace it. I looked at Fortessa (the same brand we use at the restaurant), and while it's durable and interesting, it doesn't blow me away. Over the weekend Andy and I were in Williams Sonoma and saw this Apilco dinnerware which we both really liked. I don't need a "set" as we just don't use cups and saucers, so I googled it, and open stock is available at a number of retailers. Through doing that search, I saw there is both a 10" plate and a 12" plate. The set we saw at WS contained the 12" plate. I know it's more practical in the smaller size, but other than having cabinets and a dishwasher that can accommodate the larger size, does anyone see a downside to a 12" plate? Amy |

I bought eight 12" Apilco pasta bowls several years ago because I thought they were so chic and I love the brand, but .... - The only cabinet large enough to hold them is in the basement so I tend to forget them. - A normal size serving looks really puny. - I don't mind handwashing them so the dishwasher is not a problem. I do love them but at $25 each, I wonder where my head was. fitzie |

Honestly, I can't see using the 12-inch except as a charger which is not really an "everyday" sort of thing. I'll be replacing some broken pieces from my everyday stuff this month as well as expanding it to 6 place settings. Maybe getting some chopstick holders and a serving bowl, too. |

I just measured my cabinet, and I need to go 10". I love the look of the 12" but can't do it. BB&B carries this line. Anyone know of a coupon that is valid online with them? Amy |

Amy- Have you signed up for email alerts from BBB? I get 20% coupons all the time good for online use. I'd forward it to you but it says "exclusive for this email address only." You could call them to check for exclusions before you get too excited about it! (1-800-462-3966) |

Ivy, I do get their emails, but they're only good on one item, and as I'll be buying 20 items, that doesn't help me much. Are the ones you get off an entire purchase? Amy |

The only ones I'm seeing online are the 20% off one item and free shipping on select items. And by "select" they mean "these 3 things." |

I just found out my local bbb will take more than one coupon per sale. Woman ahead of me in line had 5 items and used 5 coupons. fitzie |

Fitzie, That's good to know, but unfortunately the 10" plates do not seem to be sold in any BB&B store...online only. Amy |
