Does aybody have any experience with this? I'm intrigued. Pizza stone cracked and needs replacement. This can be used in the oven and on the barbecue grill.

Fitzie,

I haven't used one, but having a slick glazed surface for a pizza stone seems to me to be exactly the wrong design. Stuff would stick. Importantly, the pizza would stick and couldn't be moved around the stone.

I have the round one with handles and like it. Things definitely don't stick. It's not much different from a regular pizza stone though in terms of performance (other than washability) so it might not be worth the extra price. I've used mine both in the oven and on the grill, and both work fine.

Thanks, Carey. I like the idea of roasting veg on it. Do you ever do that?

Nice looking unit! I just ordered two pizza stones. One comes with the Pizza Kettle add-on for my Weber and is about 15 inches around. The second is a "D" shaped pizza stone that should fit very closely to the 22.5 inch diameter of my Weber, with flat side that will allow hot air to come in that area, helping create a hot air flow over the top of my pizza.

I would have considered one of these as a nice choice. I won't really need the handles since I want to leave the stone on the grill so we can make 2 or 3 pizzas at one go. The stone needs to be nice and hot, something in the order of 700F. While this probably presents no obstacle to the Emile Henry Grilling Stone, picking them up by hand at that temperature does.
