Can anyone recommend a crinkle cutter that can be used to cut potatoes or other vegetables and fruits? Thanks in advance.

Janet, I have a hand held Pampered Chef model that is quite sharp and works well, although I don't use it much, if ever. I hang onto it, just in case.
I also have a blade for my mandoline that I can't figure out how to use, so am actually thinking I've tossed it.

Janet,

My Bron mandoline has a crinkle cutter, but I've never used it. If you think you might like owning a mandoline, this would be a good way to achieve what you're looking for.

While I will make fries sometimes from scratch, I've never dug out my mandoline to do the crinkle cuts, I always seem to falter and just buy a bag of pre-cut in the market.

Jean, Amy, Tatoosh, thanks for your replies.
I am looking for a hand held one, not a mandoline........so, will investigate the Pampered Chef version. I probably would use it occasionally.........sounded like another "kitchen toy" that might be fun to have!

Again, thanks!

Not sure what the PP tool costs, but this one on Amazon is $8.75 and has nearly 30 out of 30 five star reviews: Dezine Black Handled Crinkle Cut Knife

kbjesq - welcome to the board!

A crinkle cutter is a fun tool, and if you aren't concerned about using a rocking motion (the Pampered Chef cutter is curved, allowing this motion), I think that Amazon cutter is a good bargain.

I have the PC version and use it occasionally, like when cutting up carrots or cucumbers for a veggie tray.
