Very pretty, but they look like a p.i.t.a. to wash.

Obviously their practicality might have some issues, but I quite like the concept and presentation.

Not sure how they have them bonded together, but knowing that wood expands and contracts, and that different woods can break loose from each other due to different expansion rates, how do you bond wood to metal permanently?

Obviously, glad to see folks innovating. However, I don't see the benefit to the design, and quite a few drawbacks. Cleaning, for one.

If the wood is stabilized well, the metal married to the blade base, they may be great. Not sure why the wood will be harder to clean than the metal, unless it stains or there is a groove between the metal and wood that material can lodge in. I do like the look, wonder what the price is.

I see rivets which explains the joinery (not bonding, per se).

IMO the bevel is on the wrong side of the knife for right-handed use.
