All, Courtesy of Lindsay, we have a link to the kitchen gadget coverage of the Total Home expo: http://www.thekitchn.com/check-it-out-n ... ork-191482 My first thought was: "huh, that first picture looks like some kind of day-glo culinary ouija board". |

With nearly perfect ratings on Amazon, I'll be ordering the Supoon while I'm relaxing in Napa next week. I can't imagine what real difference it will make but it's pretty reasonably priced and I am influenced by so many great reviews. We'll see. Y'all know I'll be spending a lot more money on things for which I'll not have much to show... ![]() ![]() |

I actually have the Simplehuman Soap Dispenser, but in the battery operated form. I LOVE it. No need for a USB version. Amy |

We used the soap dispenser for quite some time, and very much liked the functionality of it. Very much. However, its reliability slowly degraded (needing frequent resets -- pull battery -- and seem to kinda need cleaning more, etc), and then it quit working. We got 2-3 years out of it, total, but considering their very considerable cost for a relatively simple item, I expected more. That said, I've been tempted to buy another for some time. If they told me they had re-engineered the design to be more reliable, i'd buy one quick like. |

Paul, Did you contact Simplehuman? Their customer support is pretty good. I got a new trash can lid out of them, gratis. |

I was well past the warranty date, so I did not, but it might have been a good idea to. |

I have the spoon both sizes in my cart. I was struggling to get the last bit out of Mayo jar yesterday, so this caught at a good time. It's cheap enough, plus Amazon will take it back if it does not meet my needs. I'd be interested in the ginger one, though a little porcelain one I have does a great job, but its hard to get the last bits out. The lemon zester is appealing and also got great reviews. I have gotten in the lazy habit of using Boyajian oils instead of actual zest for most baking applications instead of zesting with the Microplane. No bits to chew. But maybe there is a big difference and I should be using the zest, especially with our lime tree producing again. Thoughts? |
