so funny, I was just looking at this on costco.ca's website yesterday. It's so tempting.

For as often as we'll use one, the hand-held version (" Vegetti") is good enough, and $25 cheaper. Fits in a corner of a drawer, too.

Steve has been coveting this for a while. If it shows up at our Costco, he'll get it. Amazon has it cheaper and on prime.
Please let me know how you like it.

I have a friend who has one. I think he's used it maybe 3 times?

I have one, and I am enjoying it. I am finding that the amount of zucchini I eat has increased this year.......but, I'm a sucker for a gimmick.....

The amount of amusement that a $40 toy has to provide and still be considered a good value is not all that high when compared to the cost of other sources entertainment.
If it ceases to amuse within 30 days, it can be returned. Later than that and it can be re-gifted. No Fuss, No Muss, No Risk.
The obvious place to store it is in the dishwasher until it has earned permanent quarters.
Edited to Add. Michel Richard has a cookbook from 2006, "Happy in the Kitchen" that makes playing with food fun. A spiral slicer from Benriner [$60+] is part of his toy box. It seems to work the same as the one in the Williams Sonoma Link.
I have passed some hours hours reading "Happy in the Kitchen", but have not made very many recipes from it. Worth looking at if your local library system has it.

I have cheap knockoff that I use occasionally. Some wins, some losses. I do like it for carrots for spring rolls, and for zucchini to cook with spaghetti squash (I don't like summer squash usually, this makes it edible for me). You may enjoy this blog: http://www.inspiralized.com/--Lisa

I agree Lisa, I don't love summer squash either, but having it in a fun goofy shape gets me to eat it. (I guess I'm still 5 years old).
