FWIW, I just happened to see this just now when I logged into Amazon for another purpose. Couldn't withstand the temptation (TIA to those of you who enabled me) although I'll probably save it for my birthday in the fall. Anyway, if anyone has been wanting to enter the world of sous vide, this looks to be a great deal at $40 off.

I'm almost glad I didn't see this earlier, or I may have also bought it on impulse! LOL Turns out, I also bought something on impusle from Amazon - an Instant Pot, which I got for $93.59, which was almost $40 off! I had been looking at these a while back, and the cheapest I had seen them was at Amazon on Black Friday, for around $120 - not really much off. I checked the Instant Pot website, to make sure this was the newer version, and it was, but in that short time the available number dropped from 45% to 12%! So I bought it!

I stumbled upon the Instant Pot too, Dave and got one for about the same price. It had been on my wish list for a while. Deb

I bought the Anova several months ago and it's still sitting in the closet.
I just don't think it suits my style of cooking and I wish I'd have resisted the temptation.

Linda (and Jean), sorry to hear that the Anova hasn't worked out for you. It's always a gamble trying something new when it comes to equipment plus technology. I'm hoping that at a minimum it will enable me to finally will stop overcooking steaks to a horrific degree. We'll see. In the meantime, you could always sell yours on eBay. I do that all the time with kitchen stuff that I haven't used as much as I thought I would. Or sometimes when I want something new but can't justify it unless I sell something old

. That's what I did to get an LC braiser finally. I love that pan way too much. Anyway, eBay really is easy.

Emilie, I hear what you're saying about your LC braiser...I love mine just as much! I look for recipes that I can make in it; I don't know what it is but I absolutely love cooking anything with it. PS, mine is a gorgeous shiny black.
