A friend was frightened recently by a repair man who asked if she was aware of some reports of sparking happening when using bi-metal, non-stick cookware with induction ranges. She was unable to find any information on the internet and I offered to ask y'all. Any experiences or leads for me???? Many thanks!! ![]() ![]() |

I have never heard of anything like this. The only thing I can think that might cause "sparking", is some food on the outside of the pan, heating up and spattering, between the surfaces. And I don't see how a NS surface would cause a problem, tbat wouldn't occur in the same pan, w/o the NS. |

Wino, Did some searches. Nothing on google, in cooking.stackexchange.com, or from Consumer Reports. I think the repairman is blowing sparks out his tuchas. |

I've never had a problem. The bimetal nonstick stuff just doesn't perform that well in comparison to triply stainless. |
