I had not heard of this company and its products. I bought it at a high end kitchen shop only because of a gift certificate. I AM VERY IMPRESSED ![]() It looks like it will swell in dishwater in a heartbeat. It has an awful smell when wet but this goes away. However, after 4 months of rigorous use and abuse it looks like new and performs wonderfully. From their web site about this particular product: Commercial Standard Cutting Boards, $20.00–$97.00 These NSF tested and approved food preparation surfaces will not dull knives or harbor bacteria and resist staining. They are heat resistant up to 350°F, dishwasher safe, and completely maintenance free. Their web site: https://www.epicureancs.com/product/commercial-standard-cutting-boards/ |

Good no know. I have an old set of poly boards that I really like but they have become stained over the years and it's probably time to replace them. One thing I've noticed is each board develops a slight curve on one side (probably after going thru the d/w) so they don't sit flat on that side. Have you noticed that with your new board? |

I don't do that anymore because of the very problem you mentioned. So, I haven't tried it with this product although the company says it is fine. Cleaning a flat surface is the easiest dishwashing I do - especially compared to wine glasses ![]() |

They've been around for a while. I've considered getting one as a travel cutting board. |

I have a large one that I use as a carving board. It's too big for the dishwasher so it's only ever been hand washed. But we're going on 7+ years now and it still looks new. The only thing is I find them a bit hard to cut on for prep. I prefer the feel of the poly under the knife (and I use cheap IKEA ones that have never warped). |

Costco just brought in a 3 pack of these boards, 3 sizes. I think $40 CAD or thereabouts. Bought the set last night. Wino, you did NOT exaggerate about the smell. ![]() |

I bought an Epicurean cutting board many years ago. I remember being disappointed after the purchase because I read ATK gave it a poor review. Anyway, my experience is that it's hard on knives and a bit clang-y. Good for having as a backup though I guess. |

A friend had an Epicurian years ago, and also found it to be hard on knives - needed honed and resharpened much more frequently. So he retired it from cutting, and used it as a pastry board from then on. |

Just bought the 3-pack at Costco for $30!! My resistance is futile with kitchen stuff... ![]() I have not experienced any negative knife issues. |
