Geekboy wanted me to share this with y'all. Apparently, it's just a concept, but it's a really interesting one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wBe3SDCcz8 |

The idea is brilliant. Even though I swore I would never have an electric stove again... Mary |

Ultimate "stove of the future", eh? I just can't help but think ... computers and stoves do not mix. Still, its like those concept cars... In twelve years we'll see something which does about half of what they promised. |

At first I thought the 92,426 was the price, not the number of views! Dave |

Wow! sign me up. I love cooking on my gas cooktop, but hate the clean up. |

I was watching one of the video's on the tour de france mobile kitchens and the chef mentions that he likes large flat cook surfaces (a grill in this case) because he can set a variety of pots and pans on it. He'd be over the moon with this ![]() I really like this idea. I'd like it even more if each cell was a tiny induction burner... |

Now you are talking. It also seems smarter that way as recently used surfaces wouldn't be hot (or not too hot anyway). Mary |

Interesting concept, but I can see myself setting down the metal spatula I was using and accidentally heating it before picking it up again. I would really like to see knobs make a comeback - I had to replace the touchpad on my double wall ovens (luckily under warranty). It was a pain, would be expensive if not under warranty ($300!), and it takes a lot longer to punch in the temperature and press Start than to turn a knob to the desired temp. I do not see any advantage to touch controls. Sure you can set your oven to 362 degrees, but it ain't gonna keep it at that precise temperature. |

This is the total evolution of a restaurant flat top (which I absolutely adore working on). Me want. Me want badly. Amy |
