I would like to see a couple of days of new posts, sometimes like now there is one post. It makes it look like the board has no activity and I know that isn't true.

I find view active topics to be more useful (for me, YMMV). The icon beside each topic will tell you if you have read it or not (different, possibly, then "new", since it might be new to you as you put off reading it, but not new to the board...).

Thanks Paul, I never used that before and it does look like it could be useful.
Thanks, Barry

Barry, I find clicking on "View active topics" (located on the left hand upper portion of the screen) for me is the best. I see all the posts with recent updates and can tell whether or not I've read them, since as Paul pointed out "new" is the posts since the last time you logged in, not necessarily the ones you haven't read.

Yeah, that "view active topics" is great for seeing where people are posting. I started using it here and now if available, I use it for any forum I'm a member of. If it is not available, I usually suggest they should add it. It really does help keep up, I often missed new posts in threads I wasn't watching closely.
