Las Vegas Get Together for Next Year!

I am putting this out there a little early, because my next trip to Las Vegas will concentrate on a Get Together if anybody is interested. I will plan a trip for myself in January (slow time in Vegas) to check out lodging, kitchen facilities, dining options and excursions. I need to book my plane tickets and hotel room in the next couple of weeks. Is this something I should start planning?

I wasn't planning on a get together in January, I was planning on going there then to research everything for a trip later in the year.

Ah, OK! Mind you, January *would* be a good month for me. Otherwise, August. Which is probably brutally hot in LV ...

My big question about LV is, are we going to be able to afford good restaurants there? The good ones on the strip are 2x to 3x as much as SF restuarants, and that's saying a lot.

I think it depends on your definition of good. In Vegas, glitzy equals expensive, great food doesn't have to be served in a glitzy place. Off the beaten path is often much more interesting. If anyone can find great food it's Todd. :!:

Probably we could attend June or later. Doing a trip in March that will suck up the travel funds for awhile.
