We have a lot of expertise on this board...let's use it.
eGullet's tutorials can be useful, but they are also waaaaay too serious (as in people take themselves too seriously). Do you guys like the idea of tutorials on this board?

Yes, I think that would be neat.
I would also like to see a category for ingredients. It seems that is a big discussion point and it really does not fit into any other category.

Great idea. I've been working on a "treatise" for non-chocolate butter cakes. If I may be so bold, I offer turn it into a tutorial. (Oh, and I don't take myself very seriously. Seriously.)

I would love to see Darcie's tutorial but I would REALLY love to see Wino's.
Mary
PS Should I figure how to do anything the least bit impressive, I would gladly do a tutorial.

Josh, Pete,
Can we start new forums for ingredients and tutorials?

Are they going to be filmed?-- I'd pay money to see a few of you performing in the kitchen and/or grill.

Amy,
There's a PHPBB mod called "static pages" which might be perfect for this. Pete, do you know how to install this mod?
The problem for me is that I'd have to get Kris to photograph me cooking, always a chancy proposition. Kris is nearly blind in one eye, which would make you think she'd be good with cameras, but no.
Oh, and if we want to do video, it would need to be hosted at Vimeo or similar. Then linked through.
