Whew. Looked up locations; fortunately, this typhoon landed at the opposite end of the islands from Steve. Not sure if his wife's family is affected though ...

Hope you and your family are safe, Steve. Our thoughts are with you.
I work with a Filipino fello whom I just shared some lemongrass with last week. I asked him if relatives or friends were in danger, and fortunately they aren't. But, like he said, everyone out of the path knows someone there.

Steve, as someone often in the path of hurricanes, I am hoping you and your family were not too negatively effected. The reports are terrible. Please know everyone here is thinking about you.

Gah. 150mph winds. And it's headed for Taiwan next.
I'm glad it's not close to Steve, but I imagine everyone in the country is affected. Pretty soon, everyone in Asia. We have got to do something about climate thrash ...
