I somehow missed this thread. I'm Nancy, aka Me Nance and Auntcy1. Love to cook but for health reasons must keep things heart and blood pressure healthy, for the most part. We do splurge everyone once in a while and never enforce our way of eating on guests. Having guests over is when I have the most fun cooking and baking because I can prepare things that we wouldn't normally eat. Live in NYC, Chelsea to be exact, same funky apt for 22 years, married to Russ for 14. We have a house in upstate NY that we go to every weekend, year round. That's where I do most of my cooking since our apt kitchen, while larger than most in sq footage, has less than 2 feet of counter space so it makes it frustrating to cook. I'm a happy-go-lucky person and really enjoy this commraderie. Wish I can meet you all one of these days. The timing so far hasn't worked out for me but I hope it will sometime in the near future! And yes, thanks Josh for starting this. I like the vibe here. Just haven't been on lately since I'm nursing 2 fractured ribs. Not fun and especially bad during allergy season. Nancy

Hi All - I've been WAY absent - took a break and, admittedly, my job, my blog, and Facebook grabbed a bit of my time. But I'm still here. Starting a new job next week with a French firm - should be interesting as it may require relocation next year pending how things go. The way I figure...why not? Still smokin' too - did a 12 pounder (brisket) a couple o' weeks ago. Would've given Kreutz's a run for their money. ...lou

Yes, thanks for starting this board, Josh. I get into trouble a lot on the CI board - I don't think bashing is healthy for our soulsSandraLee I'm Kxx on the other board, but here, I changed it; my name is unpronouncable, but my middle name is Kay, so I use that, and I really do feel that whatever will be, will be. Glad to find you all over here. Todd, when are we going to Vegas? I have some classmates living there who might help......

Mary Yep - perhaps to France, in Nantes. Will know more in April if that's gonna happen. Kind'a freaky if it did...esp. since I don't speak French. ...lou

Don't worry about the language, just go for it! I didn't speak German when I came here and have done fine.

woo hoo!! It's like old home week...where the hell is Crys?? It's me, the poster previously known as Saute'. I'm still in Houston, still cooking, and still not visiting CI anymore. I "almost" re-subscribed over there but found it now costs $34.95 ... what the hell??? Anyhow, I'm so glad to see you all. Thanks for setting this up, Josh. Nice place you've got here. Linda
