I hope Fuzzy, and whoever else are in Oregon, California, or any of the states with all those fires, are safe now, and stay safe. And I hope everyone stays free of the Covid 19!

Thanks! We are free of Covid, but breathing is a bit difficult with all the smoke. All my outdoor activities have been canceled and even our curb-side library pick-up has been canceled every day since Friday. Still, we are not close to the fires. It is a disaster for so many people in so many areas this year....on so many different levels.

We went down to SoOrg over labor day weekend to move my in-laws ... just in time! Their new house is safe, but their old house is threatened.

The amount of smoke we're living with is unbelievable. It's night in the middle of the day in Salem, and even here in Portland it never got brighter out than false dawn. I've been trapped in the house for 5 days.

I can't imagine what that must be like. That smoke is reaching all the way out here - they've been telling us that the reason that we haven't had a sunny day for a week or more is because of the haze high in the atmosphere, that is coming all the way out here from those fires! I hope something positive happens out west very soon, to stop these fires.

Well, in Northern Oregon and Washington we're supposed to get some rain tonight. Here's hoping.
