Has anyone tried making their own limoncello? DH accidently knocked the bottle of purchased limoncello we had off of the island, and broke it.....grrrrr. Decided making our own would be a thought. I use it for Ina Garten's berry salad dressing, but a woman with a thick unidentifiable accent said she made 'lemonade' with it.

The link doesn't work. It takes me to a Weber smoker.

One thing you can do is mix it with cream to make limoncello cream, which then is an excellent dessert ingredient. Or with sugar for a cake-soaking syrup for a really lemony cake.
And, of course, you can drink it. Limoncello is one of a large number of "digestivi" which Italians consider essential after the meal. Many Roman restaurants give you a bottle of some digestivo (Limoncello or an herbal liquor) after you're done with dessert, and a shot glass.

I have been mixing it with yogurt, whipped cream, or sugar, and using it to dress berrries, and other fruit! Fantastic. It's my new favorite thing, puts just a bit of tang to the fruit.
Ina Gartens beery salad with limoncello is a favorite, but last night I used one from BA.
