There has to be an "and eat it too" joke in that somewhere.
Mary
Maybe the links are British and don't work in color.

I'll give it a try - we have a couple of Haas avocados in the fridge. I usually use the half with the pit and douse with lemon juice and wrap tightly with plastic wrap (so that the lemoned wrap is plastered to the cut edge).

You can do color links and they do work. like this one Here's the code I use: {url=http://cookaholics.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2512] ike this one I changed the first bracket so it would show.

Paul,
Misspelled. :-p
Huh. I know I fixed other people's colored links which didn't work as links. I wonder what the difference is.
Also, based on that link, you are a sick, sick man.

Josh, I just put the links how I used to do them on our old business site. I don't use the url box, just the then words . On this board I just highlight the words part and select the color I want and it works ok. I check that it works before I submit.
I think the difference might be that using the box to do the link gives you: http://cookaholics.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2523&sid=3b14889cb0cdefcee24a01d5b419c900 which does not work, but typing link[/url} does (with the straight bracket).

IIRC, Kenji tested this and found that it's the plastic wrap which does the trick, NOT the lemon juice. Vegetable oil or even water apparently works better than lemon juice does. The whole trick is to keep air away from the cut flesh.

The whole trick is to keep air away from the cut flesh. That was the one I use. He sprayed guac with olive oil. No altering of flavor. Guacamole is the only reason I would need to preserve avocado. I eat a whole one everyday.
