Fitzie, I giggled all weekend over that.
I have Ree's first book since at the time I was still reading her blog and the pictures and stories are all charming. Not sure if I've ever made anything from there. I tend to think of Ree like Rachel Ray, she's a gateway cook. People like her, watch the show/read the blog, try some of her recipes and get more into cooking, hopefully advancing their repetoire. And even if they don't they are least cooking
something at home instead of nuking processed crapola.
I am living proof that it works that way....I found the CI board, and all of you, via a comment made on The Cake Mix Doctor bulletin board. Prior to 2004 I'd never made a scratch cake, and it was after feeling more comfortable in the kitchen with all my helper "ingredients" that I decided to take it further and try to only cook real food. My cooking today is very different then 10 years ago, and light years from when I got married almost 20 (

) years ago. I have you guys in a very large part to thank for that.
I won't blame you for the weight gain though. That is (literally) all on me.
