I love it when High Tech meets Real Tech and we all get to eat the results! Not really sous vide, but I've been known to fill my cooler with hot water from time to time as well. I even tried it for doing larger batches of the deep fried egg yolks from a different thread.

He (our someone else of that age) was on the Today Show last year or so demonstrating the same thing. Works.

I tried this trick over the weekend. It worked great but the corn was overcooked. I'll try again but only microwave the corn for 4-5 minutes fitzie
