Okay, 98 hacks and one dud. Those cupcakes-in-an-ice-cream-cone things were huge back in the, uh, when I was a kid. They were awful. The process always made the cones taste stale and there was way too much cake compared to frosting. I can't imagine why they are making a comeback now, but they seem to land on at least half of these lists. Do what you want with your used t.p. rolls and bread tags, but please don't subject an innocent child to the cupcone.

Yes, some I've seen already but some were new to me and I've gotten some good ideas. Thanks Ivy!

I thought some of them were ingenious! (Although I agree that the cupcakes in the cones are a definite ewwwww.)
Thanks Ivy!

Hmmm. The Five Stages of Lifehacker Tips: - "Oh, hey, I ought to do that", and ...
- "Doesn't everyone already know that?", and ...
- "Well ... that *might* be useful for a travel emergency.", and ...
- "Um, I don't think that really works", and ...
- Martha Stewart Tips for the Gullible and Desperate
I know the "take a picture of your fridge" thing would *not* work for me. "Hey, honey, what's this white thing?" "Um ... cheese? Maybe some salt cod? A piece of wall plaster? Beats me."

I actually found a couple that will be useful, will try the vinegar shower one for sure. Hate taking down the shower head to soak it.
I had the same thought about the refrigerator one. We do take a picture of our kitchen white board with our phones before we leave the house (as we open a new item or finish the last depending on the item, we put those that need to be purchased on the board in 3 columns (Costco green, Grocery red, TJ purple) yes OCD I know. It has been pretty handy when we decide we need gas (Costco) or ice cream and end up at a store.

I love the one about the highway signs but almost ran off the road trying to explain it to my grandson. There was another one I thought I might use but I can't remember it. Sigh...

I just tried the one with the can opener and theft-resistant packaging. Doesn't work.

My brother told me this weekend he tried the one about using toothpaste to clean foggy headlamps, and that it actually helped. All I know is I was very excited when I didn't break a nail by using a staple remover to open a key ring. Seriously.
