To promote the food channel, Twitch is playing the entire French Chef with Julia Childs series starting with episode one, from 5 pm Eastern today. https://www.twitch.tv/food --Lisa |

I am having a lot of fun with this... I haven't seen much of the original series before and am learning a lot, too. I have the book but never dived in it much. I have had it on all day as I have gone about my business. The difference between this and modern cooking shows is really refreshing as well. This about the food, period. If someone rings the doorbell or she has a tickle in her throat she ignores it. If she knocks over a bottle of brandy, as we all do, oh well. ![]() --Lisa |

Wait, Twitch has a food channel? Damn, I shouldn't have left there. I could be running that! The comment stream is kind of disturbing, though. |

You used to work there? Cool! And, like anything: never, ever read the comments. I turned them off as soon as I figured out how. ![]() --Lisa |

Lisa, It was a contract, but I was pretty much full-time for a while. Twitch was one of my favorite clients. Their people were really friendly and supportive of each other, and it was a surprisingly diverse workplace. If I'd taken an FT job at a startup, I'd have considered them. |
