All, Recently science fiction author Sean Craven made a dish while at a convention in order to illustrate the word "craptastic". If ever there was an anti-CI recpie, this is it: (warning: set your drink down before reading this) Chili-Dog Casserole: http://nielsenhayden.com/makinglight/ar ... 11758.html And pictures of someone else following the easy parts of the recipe: http://matociquala.livejournal.com/1720544.html Now that you're able to breathe again, what's the most "craptastic" thing you've ever made? And does anyone know what happened to the infamous CI Pop-Tart Recipe? P.S. no, the new board doesn't *bleep* out bad words. Try it ... shitake! shitake! shitake! |

In the summer we always made 'Skip & Go Naked' 1 750 ml bottle of cheap gin 12 cans of beer 1 large can of lemonade concentrate 1 LARGE bag of crushed ice as you would get at a gas station, supermarket, etc. Combine all in a LARGE insulated water cooler (as used on work sites). Stir very well. Place on the end gate and watch the day unfold. ![]() ![]() |

We still quote that Pop-tart thing here. Whenever dinner is going on the table a little too piping hot, I'll warn Geekboy by saying "Hot as lava, and just as tasty!" Pop-Tarts And another one I had cluttering up my favorites -- Meatcake |

Wino, I think I got a hangover headache just from reading your recipe. ![]() |

I would so eat that chili dog thing. I have like to put a hot dog and some cheese in a tortilla, nuke it and then put on mustard, chili sauce (or salsa) and jalepenos. I also liked (but never made) that salad that was popular in the '80s that had pretzels and jello and something creamy. Mary |

Wino I forgot all about "Skip and Go Naked" drinks.....thanks for taping into my 70"s memories bank. Used to make pitchers of these to play "Passout". Surprised I have any brain cells left. Of course now I can't remember any "craptastic" things I have made, but I am sure I must have. |

It is unbelievable that none of the others on this board will 'fess up to the concoctions of their youth. Aside from the memory loss induced by the experimental brownies, what excuses do you have for owning up? ![]() |

About the worst thing I can confess to is my love of kielbasa baked in BBQ sauce. It just seems so tame in comparison. |

First off, there is an ingredient missing in the linked recipe. 1 each roll of toilet paper and keys to the crapper. And of course more hand washing materials. ![]() My list of craptastics includes: - bloody mary's made with ketchup packets, vodka, water, and ice. - baked bean sandwiches on white bread, folded not cut - fried spam and eggs (yum) - that 60's appetizer with the cream cheese, cocktail sauce, and canned shrimp - sweet and sour goat at a potluck in the 70's (ewww) There's more I'm sure but the Skip and Go Nakeds probably erased it, like Ilene's. eb |
