Our markets are just coming in. Yesterday I got some beautiful heirloom tomatoes, beets, and carrots. Also got some corn, but I don't think it's really local yet. Probably from Iowa. Things here seem to be late this year.
Everything is so nice that it's hard not to overbuy. In the past, I've bought too much, and then it gets old before I can use it. Mr. trink is not a vegetable lover - I have to pace him.

I can't wait for our local Olathe corn to come in...at least a month away though.

With good reason...Pretty unbearable, just had lunch with a friend that just returned from a vacation in Nova Scotia...he wants to go back.
