Ship4Free almost always provides free shipping. You can always negotiate free shipping on amount over $49. You can always negotiate a 10% of 20% discount. |

I know that the stores will price match a competitor. Once they matched a SLT price and that was very easy. Requesting a discount in person would be awkward. |

I thought you were probably just talking about online, Tim, but how do you negotiate? Just call them to order and ask at that time? Requesting a discount in person would be awkward. (This reminds me of my late father-in-law, bless him, who wouldn't hesitate to negotiate anything, anywhere. Awkwardness doesn't begin to describe the pain of being in the middle of any of those situations. Fortunately DH didn't follow in those footsteps, but he sometimes doesn't see the same value in my kitchen accoutrements as I do. Go figure. Emilie |

I have found that a simple "is that the best price you can give me" question, often results in discounts. The worse they can say is no. Do you price match is another question worth asking routinely if you know the items is less somewhere else. First time I realized this was at Nordstroms when I declined another item, and mentioned it was cheaper at Macy's. I was given the Macy's price without question. You expect it from stores like Best Buy, but it works elsewhere as well. I just ask with a smile. |
