We had our annual wine drinking party for Pi day this year. It was a lot of fun, but a bit of a crush. We had about 36 or 38 adults and close to 20 kids in my little house. Someone just uploaded photo of the table to FB, so here it is. I forgot to take one myself. Whoops.
Top row:
"Wild Pate" from South Africa. Wildebeest and Impala. I left it in the cans so know one could say they didn't know what they were eating.

Puff pastry straws stuffed with tapenade and bruschetta.
Gorgonzola and pistachio shortbread (behind the pies)
Smoked bacon wrapped onion rings
Tuna confit on endive
Smoked salmon nuggets
Middle row:
Chicken and waffles with maple syrup
Goat cheese and roasted tomato tarts
Mini pies (Cherry, Blueberry, Apple)
Toasted french bread basket
Italian Antipasta salad in pasta shells
Crackers
Bottom row:
Fruit plate
Provolone stuffed olives
Greek Salad Skewers
Prosciutto wrapped asparagus
Mini sweet peppers stuffed with spinach artichoke dip
Charcuterie board
Cheese plate
Randomly scattered shrimp cocktail shooters
Side table in the back:
Mini lamb koftas with yogurt dip
Mini baked brie
Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with garlic
Chicken tacitos (huge platter for the kiddos)
The coffee table (not pictured) had:
Veggie platter
Carmel apple grapes
Dulce de leche stuffed strawberries
Chips, Dips, Hummus, Salsa, Pickles
Biltong and fancy biltong cutter
Almost everything was homemade. What wasn't: chicken and waffles (assembled, not from scratch), the canned pate, the pies were from cans (shhhhh - I ran out of time and doctored them up) and the Charcuterie board (someday I will have a basement).
All in all loads of fun to do. I got really behind this year due to illness and that random trip to South Africa, but we made it with moments to spare. I do have individual pictures of a bunch of this stuff, but not everything. I should post them to FB, but if feels a little self congratulatory. You guys at least understand how fun this is for me!
I hope you all had a wonderful Pi day.
