The two most horrible foods in the world: live termites and raw sea cucumber. Does that include Durian? Hey, Durian tastes pretty good. It just smells horrible. Best to eat it as ice cream.

So on Monday night I opened a package of tortilla shells, put half on a baking sheet and stuck them in a warm oven. Turned it off and told 14 year old to let dad know they were in there then left for my meeting at the school. Thursday night I'm at a conference and get a text from my husband - "found the tortilla shells when I preheated the oven tonight" It never even occurred to me to check the oven when I got home late Monday, since there 2 shells on my plate.

I will, but he's 14 for crying out loud! This is the child who will decide my care one day, a frightening thought.
