That is my idea for the next time I host my cooking club group. Snooty versions of low food. I have 2 ideas so far. First dessert ( see how I prioritize?), a "peanut butter cup" a chocolate shell filled with peanut butter mousse from Leite's Culinaria. For a starter Around My French Table has a pizza kind of thing on puff pastry with fresh mozzarella and barely warmed raw tuna. This is not until November but I was so tickled with the idea that I wanted to get going on it. And this is so going to be served on paper plates... Mary |

Dessert sounds wonderful! What's not to love about that menu. |

What's not to love? Frankly, the barely warmed raw tuna. Gives me the shivvers. Most people love it but raw fish creeps me out. Sorry, Mary fitzie |

No problem Fitzie. I feel the same way about organ meats. No fattened goose liver corn dogs on the menu for sure! |

And maybe a take on a gelatin salad, although I can't provide any inspiration. |

CC has a recipe for a piƱa colada jello ring. I think it would be awesome with their Bahama Mama fruit salad in the middle. Let me know if you want the recipes. |

I would like those recipes because I am a sucker for anything with pineapple and coconut. And taking walks in the rain. For this dinner I was think along the lines of snack and fast foods though. I found a recipe for sliders made with chopped scallops that looks interesting. A hot dog thing would be great or a taco. And a side of slaw. Milkshake cocktail? Mary |
