I had some friends over for dinner tonight and this is what I made for our Appetizer. About 10 years ago I started collecting small plates and I have so much fun using them for Amuses and Appetizers. The little glass is actually an antique. It is a creamer from years ago before the cream came prepackaged.

Todd,

So, what is it?

Todd, very attractive. I love using old odds & ends on my dinner table. Years ago travelling businessmen used to carry a leather case specially fitted for knife, fork, spoon and a small glass {about 6 oz). I've geen collecting the glasses for years. I've only seen one complete kit and it was much too dear for my pocketbook.

Dilled Cream Cheese, Smoked Salmon, Red Onion and Capers on a Cucumber Slice. This can also be put on Endive and it looks really nice. The Shrimp Cocktail Sauce is in the bottom of the glass and rimmed with a little Salt and Pepper. Nothing hard to make, but it looks nice on a plate and it's tasty too!

Fitzie,
I did not know about the traveling kits. I just called a friend of mine who deals in antiques and he knows about them. In fact, he just saw one at our Flea Market a few months ago. Who Knew!
